“Sam worked with me for several years during my time as a competitive collegiate distance runner. During that time he was a fantastic resource to me in terms of injury prevention, rehab and recovery.. Coming from a background of running himself, Sam did a great job of relating to the issues that I encountered along the way. His experience gave him the foresight to offer suggestions that kept my training and health on track.”

Sam helped me to work through multiple injuries as a collegiate distance runner. He was always willing to think outside the box and come up with unique exercises for my needs. I continued following a maintenance program he designed for me after college and it kept me healthy for years!

As a Division 1 cross country coach I know how valuable it is to have a rehab professional that understands how to work with distance runners. Sam helped so many of my runners when he worked as an athletic trainer for our team. He knew how to connect with our coaching staff and athletes to move them from the recovery phase to high-level training. He also had the ability to design individual rehab programs to keep injuries from reoccurring.

I worked with Sam through multiple injuries, with an ACL repair, wrist sprain & shoulder strain while completing my Critical Care fellowship at UConn.
Sam not only got me back to full strength, but went above and beyond with his unique approach with Return to Sport after my ACL repair. As our treatments were coming to an end, he set our appointments to be out on the soccer field doing dynamic drills that got me the confidence I needed to get back to playing competitively.
I appreciate that he was flexible with my schedule, and a wonderful person to be around. Without his targeted training geared towards my goals, I don’t believe I would have had such a good outcome from my surgery.

Worked closely with Sam for multiple years while I was competing in track and cross country. When doing a lot of mileage and intensity you always have things crop up and Sam was great at not only helping to keep issues at bay but also to help proactively find opportunities to improve performance. One specific example that jumps out is while I wasn’t injured, Sam had identified some muscular hip imbalances and inflexibility issues I didn’t realize existed. After working to address them over the coming weeks I was surprised to see how much quicker I was able to run and shortly after hit my 5k PR.

Sam was a crucial part of my return to pole vaulting. He helped me overcome my back injury by creating unique and progressively challenging exercises that were geared specifically toward pole vault. I highly recommend him for track athletes and any athletes looking to return to their sport.
