No! We are a Direct Access provider and therefore do not need a physician script. When we do your initial discovery call we will determine if your case can be resolved with treatment. If it does not sound musculoskeletal or needs imaging, we will refer you appropriately at that time.
We can treat patients with Medicare coverage under "Prevention, Wellness, and Fitness" but not under traditionally covered Medicare physical therapy services since we are an Out-of-Network provider. Therefore, the goals you set will determine if we can work with you. We will not be able to provide a superbill for reimbursement to Medicare patients for this reason.
Since you are an Out-of-Network provider, how do I get reimbursed as the patient?
For non-Medicare and non-Medicaid clients, we will provide you with what is called a Superbill. This is a statement that you can submit to your insurance company to potentially be reimbursed for the sessions you have already paid for up front as proof of services. We have no control over whether your insurance will reimburse you for your visits. By providing you with a Superbill we are trying to enable to do so though.
Why is OHS an Out-of-Network Provider?
Being an Out-of-Network provider enables us to treat you exactly as you would like to be treated rather than having insurance dictate how many sessions you can have and what treatment strategies we can use.
Yes!
How often would treatments be performed?
The frequency is up to you! We will have recommendations based off of your initial injury and what stage of recovery you are in. It is typically helpful to be seen once per week initially until the pain has significantly reduced. Then the frequency may drop to once every two weeks and then as needed until you reach your goals. Combining in-person sessions with continuous virtual support in between sessions is how we save you time while making sure your treatment program aligns with the appropriate level of intervention at home.
